PurposeDetect the hotspots of land cover change, land degradation and drought vulnerability
Supplemental InformationMethodology: The land cover change detection resulted in 17 stable classes and 22 change classes. To allow a coherent interpretation of these changes, a hierarchical structure of change patterns was adopted, and 5 land cover trends were defined: - stable (including mosaic stable classes); - intensification of agriculture; - retrenchment of agriculture; - intensification of natural vegetation; - retrenchment of natural vegetation. A sixth class gathers noise pixels.
