Process DescriptionGood quality control already existed before the data were included in the publication. A final accuracy check on geographical location of the stations was undertaken and elimination of duplicates before converting station data into an interpolated climate surface. The 'thin-plate smoothing spline' method of Hutchinson (1995), as implemented in the ANUSPLIN software (Hutchinson, 2000), was used for this purpose. For more details is referred to the citation (De Pauw, 2008) for this dataset.
